Why Work With Expat Mom Journal

Families don’t only want to know that a destination is beautiful. They want to know whether it will work for their family.

Can we get there easily? Will the children enjoy it? Can we take the pushchair? What happens once we arrive? Is there somewhere to eat? What should we bring? And what might make the experience worth remembering?

That’s the perspective I bring to a collaboration.

I document our genuine experience as a family and combine storytelling with the practical information parents are searching for when deciding where to go next.

The result isn’t simply content about a destination — it’s a family experiencing it.

What I Create

One family adventure can become many different stories.

A collaboration doesn’t have to disappear after one social post. I create content across different platforms and formats, allowing an experience to be discovered in different ways — from the quick inspiration of a Reel to a detailed blog story families can return to when planning their own adventure.

I’m interested in working with destinations, attractions, accommodation providers and family-focused brands that encourage families to get outside, explore and experience something together.

The best collaborations are those that fit naturally into the way our family already adventures — giving us something genuine to discover while creating useful content for families considering the experience for themselves.

What Makes My Approach Different

I don’t arrive knowing exactly what the story will be.

I can research the destination, plan the route and make a very long list of things I’d like to capture — but once we arrive, the experience belongs to the whole adventure crew.

The children notice things I would have walked straight past. Plans change. Someone needs a snack. A playground becomes more exciting than the attraction we came to see. Grandma and Grandpa bring a different pace and perspective. And sometimes an unexpected moment becomes the part of the day we remember most.

Those moments become part of the story too.

REAL EXPERIENCE FIRST

I create from our genuine experience of a destination rather than trying to make the experience fit a predetermined story.

That means sharing the beautiful moments, but also the practical discoveries, changes of plan and little details that can help another family understand what visiting might actually feel like.

DIFFERENT AGES, DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES

Three children can visit exactly the same place and come home talking about completely different things.

Add parents and grandparents, and one experience can naturally be seen from several perspectives — from what excites little explorers to the practical details adults notice along the way.

CONTENT WITH A LIFE BEYOND THE VISIT

A Reel might introduce someone to a place today, while a blog story or YouTube video can help another family discover and plan the same experience months later.

I like to think about how one adventure can become useful across different formats — creating both immediate inspiration and content families can return to when they’re ready to explore for themselves.

The goal isn’t to make family adventure look perfect. It’s to make it feel possible.
